Mechanization of sawmill equipment

Description
Technical specifications

NPF TECHPROMSERVICE offers a wide range of means of mechanisation of sawmill equipment for completing lines for processing wood, production of sawn timber, packaging, other products and structures. We implement effective solutions that are maximally adapted to the needs of a particular enterprise. Their use will not only significantly increase the productivity and profitability of the enterprise, but also allow us to use space rationally, ensuring a high degree of safety.

Purpose, specifics of implementation

Mechanisation of sawmill equipment (MLO) from NPF TECHPROMSERVICE is a carefully designed complex aimed at replacing manual labour with the use of various machines and devices. We offer an individual solution for each enterprise using semi-automatic and automatic means to reduce the time for loading, unloading, sorting and other routine operations. The proposed UFO devices and mechanisms will make it possible to combine individual machines into a single line that works harmoniously and coherently in an autonomous mode with minimal human involvement.

Delivery procedure for MLOs

The supply of sawmill equipment mechanisation is implemented in four stages:

  • Approval. After confirming the request, our engineers develop several variants of the UFO, taking into account the technological processes of a particular production, requirements and wishes of the customer. If necessary, on-site inspection of production facilities is performed.
  • Production. Production of mechanisation equipment according to a project approved by the customer with subsequent delivery to the plant.
  • Installation. Assembly of mechanisms, setting up and commissioning. Upgrading of the existing line with integration of new equipment, if necessary.
  • Training. Instruction and training of operators.

In addition to the supply and commissioning of equipment, we provide complete information and technical support throughout its entire life cycle. Upon individual requests, our craftsmen carry out maintenance, repairs, upgrades and other activities to maintain the high performance of the mechanisation equipment.

List of available funds MLO

At low prices, you can buy both individual means and complex solutions for mechanising sawmill equipment from us:

  • Conveyor-storage devices with transverse chain rails are one of the main assets of the MLO. They provide reception of round timber with subsequent rolling out (moving) to the raw material supply line to the woodworking machines. The logs are hooked with special grippers mounted on chain bars. Their number, as well as the dimensions of the conveyor structure itself, are determined taking into account the needs of the particular production. The movement of the bars is ensured by a gear motor located in the centre of the conveyor structure. This solution reduces the loads on the drive shaft, which increases the service life of the equipment. The speed of workpiece movement in the basic version of the conveyor is constant. On request, a frequency converter can be supplied to regulate the rate of log feed from the remote control. In addition, the conveyor can also be equipped with a drop mechanism for round timber.
  • Disassemblers with piece-by-piece delivery – Special devices based on a steel frame made on a slope ensure the delivery of individual logs to the timber processing line. Round timber is captured from a storage unit (reception table) using special devices – steel hooks mounted on chain rails. They are configured in such a way that two logs cannot be moved simultaneously. The splitters are equipped with powerful gear motors and chain rails with large pitch. The position of the drive unit in the central part of the machine reduces the load on the drive unit, thus ensuring a long service life.
  • Conical roller conveyors – are a type of drive-type roller conveyors maximally adapted to the movement of cylindrical billets. The original design ensures reliable alignment of logs during longitudinal movement. Unlike other types of roller conveyors, the movable elements of the roller conveyor are made with a reduced diameter to the centre. As a result, a recess is formed on the working surface of the conveyor, in which round timber is fixed. The proposed roller conveyors are equipped with Italian gear motors. They are characterised by a long service life, high power and ease of maintenance. The longitudinal movement speed of the logs is controlled by a frequency converter in the range of 5 to 30 (60) metres per second.
  • Cross conveyors for lumber – drive-type conveyors with transverse tyre arrangement ensure the reception and subsequent transfer of logs, planks or slabs from one process chain of timber processing or production to another. Their construction is based on four sections with chain bars moving inside the steel beams. The frame of each section is mounted on thick-walled supports with a height adjustment mechanism. The sections are joined together in a common frame using rectangular bars. The gear motor is located in the middle of the conveyor belt, allowing the transmission of torques to both sides. The advantage of this solution is the low loads on the drive shaft and the long service life of the motor. Transverse conveyors are available in various sizes and equipment options, including inclined conveyors. If you want to know more about the available configurations, then contact our managers.
  • Bar aligners – to ensure longitudinal movement of the bar with a fixed position before it is fed to the receiving table of the multi-blade machine, rollers (roller conveyors) are used, equipped with special alignment mechanisms. They are three-section units with 150 mm rollers, evenly positioned on a 6 m working blade. Conveyor rollers are manufactured in 800 mm length with a diameter of 152 mm. They are all synchronously driven by a 2.2 kW gear motor. A separate pneumatic drive is provided for each roller of the centering mechanism to ensure that the bar is positioned correctly. Depending on the specific process requirements, the bar centrifugal rollers are supplied with either central or side rails to press the workpiece. Dimensions and configuration options are determined by the customer’s requirements, which are specified when placing an order.
  • Screw rollers – drive conveyors in this series are used to automatically separate the slab and the end boards from the carriage or the bar. They are installed at the exit of a multi-blade or bar machine. Thanks to the original configuration of the rollers, the hump and planks are removed (screwed together) from the conveyor blade to the sides as the sawed material moves. And the bar is moved further to the line of the next technological operation. The screw-in rollers are supplied with dimensions and performance characteristics that are specified by the customer in the sawmill mechanisation specification.
  • Cross wiper rollers – roller conveyors equipped with cross wipers ensure the processing of piece or packaged timber. Their design is based on a frame frame made of steel channels and thick-walled supports with height adjustment mechanisms. The conveyor blade is formed from rollers mounted across the frame using bearings. The lumber is moved by simultaneous rotation of the rollers driven by a gear motor through a chain clutch. When the workpiece is pressed against the thrust, the ejector is automatically triggered. The mechanism is a set of beams with shafts equipped with special pushers connected to an electric drive.

Depending on the nature of the particular production, it is possible to produce a roller conveyor with a dump mechanism to the right or left of the lumber movement. To learn more about the available means of mechanising sawmill equipment, please contact the managers of TechPromServis.
